Do I need travel insurance?

Answer: Extra travel insurance is not needed for you in order to sail with us.

All our yachts are insured according to the Law of Greece regarding the professional charter yachts.

If you book a boat as bareboat, meaning that you or one friend of you will be the captain of the yacht, it would be wise to have an extra insurance that would cover the guarantee required. Sailing with Skipper, how is it, what are his duties?

The Skipper has all necessary permits, skills and experience to navigate the yacht in a safe and reasonable way. He is responsible to estimate the weather conditions and to propose alternative routes than the original planned if required. In case you have rent a yacht with free plan, the skipper will help you to plan the optional route. In general all sailing routes are planned with a sailing period of 4 to 6 hours per day. In general a maximum of 8 hours sailing per day could be asked by the skipper. Longer sailing hours should be an exception due to a good reason.

The Skipper is also responsible for safety regulations on the yacht and due to this he may require that the guests are following some rules.

In Trips when food is not included in the trip price, the guest should offer the skipper 3 meals per day.

Sailing with Hostess, how is it, what are her duties

The Hostess is responsible to keep the common used areas of the yacht in good and clean order. She is also preparing two meals per day breakfast and lunch or dinner depending on the plan of the trip.

Meals on board, how does it work?

The yachts are equipped with all necessary cooking facilities like gas stove, oven, fridge units etc. In case you have a hostess, she will be preparing the food for you as described above. In this case you have also the possibility to select the option Breakfast and meal and you do not need to worry about provisions on board. Else you can buy your own provisions by the local market. If you do not have a hostess you can use the cooking facilities of the yacht to prepare your meals.
